The Workflow Manager's default Actions menu provides a Design Complete command, which can be used to indicate that a work request is ready for review and approval. This action changes the state of the selected work request to Waiting Approval. The Design Complete command is intended only for work requests that have an attached design.

In a typical installation, the Approve action posts the design data to the master GIS database. With a work management system, the Design Complete action normally sends the work request and design information to the WMS database. The approval process may also involve automatic routing to particular users based on work request or design criteria (such as total cost). The specific function of the Design Complete action will depend on the way work request states and actions have been customized for a particular installation.
